The Shun Premier 9 inch Bread Knife’s long, gently serrated blade will cut easily through any bread. The wide serrations are not only razor-sharp, but they do a much better job slicing any type of bread than a straight-edged knife, providing the power you need to gently saw through a crusty loaf without tearing the tender interior. Works equally well on cakes and even pastries! While the blade is extremely strong and will hold its edge, Japanese Steel does not have flexibility so we do not advise using this knife on bone in meats, frozen fruits, or stone cutting boards.

The beautifully grained walnut PakkaWood handles nestle comfortably in the hand, and the Shun logo embossed on the bottom adds balance and beauty to the knife, whether in the hand or at rest in the block. It is not recommended to put Shun Premier (or any quality knife) in the dishwasher.
