Because these peels are made with a durable wood composite material, just slice and serve, right on your peel. These peels are made with 3/16 inch material. Epicurean was born out of a company making eco-friendly municipal skate parks. The wood composite they used in their ramps is extremely durable and non-porous, but also food safe and dishwasher safe. They started using the excess material to create cutting boards as gifts for family and friends.
